Abstract

The rotational band based on the 1.1. ms, 8- 2-quasiparticle isomer in 182Os has been identified using a delayed coincidence technique. Analysis of the cascade/crossover branching ratios within the band, and the cascade mixing ratios deduced from angular distribution measurements, leads to a value of -0.031(2) for (gK - gR) Q0. This implies a limit of <8% 2-quasiproton admixture in the predominantly 2-quasineutron 8- state.
