Abstract

A theoretical model to analyze monofacial and bifacial solar cells under any injection conditions is presented. The model is used in a parametric study to find out the optimal structure and base resistivity for bifacial cells. It is concluded that npp structures of intermediate base resistivities give the highest efficiencies for bifacial operation.
