Abstract

Experimental viscosity coefficients of argon were used to illustrate how the variation of the parameters of the Lennard-Jones, exp-6, and Kihara functions effect the correlation of the Chapman-Enskog transport theory with experimental data. By rationalizing the choice of the parameters, better correlations were possible than obtained by previous workers and it was shown that the Kihara function gave the best results.
