Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To study the chemical constituents of Euonymus alatus (Thunb.)Sieb.. METHODS: Isolation and purification were carried out on silica gel, sephardex LH-20, macroporous absorbent resin and HPLC, et al. Constituents were identified by physicochemical properties and spectral analysis. RESULTS: Wilforlide A (1), quercetin (2), phenylformic acid (3), hop-(22)-29-en-3β- ol (4), 5-hydroxymethyl furfural (5), caffeine (6), squalene (7), and n-Pentacosane (8) were obtained and identified. CONCLUSION: Compound 4-8 were isolated from Euonymus alatus for the first time.
