Marangoni Precursor in Dynamic Dewetting Transition: Adsorption Pressure Effect

Abstract

Interest in dynamic wetting phenomena has been increasing. One such issue that has attracted attention is the occurrence of a Marangoni 'precursor'. The work reported here demonstrates that this complex nonequilibrium situation can be understood on the same thermodynamic basis that applies at equilibrium.
