Abstract

In the centre, behind Turner Oval, is the Australian National University area, with Lake Burley Griffin immediately behind. On the right, at the foot of Black Mountain, are buildings of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). Within the grounds of the University, the original course of Sullivan's Creek has been altered to accommodate growth of the campus.
