Abstract

In the title compound, C13H10O2, the pyrone ring adopts a modified screw-boat conformation and a trans configuration about the C=C double bond. The styryl fragment is pseudo-equatorial on the pyrone ring. The molecules are stabilized by intermolecular C-H⋯O interactions and form a one-dimensional zigzag chain parallel to [100].
