Abstract

When correcting precise gravity measurements for polar motion, the Earth's rotational deformation must be considered, as this will increase the correction based on a rigid Earth by about 15%. Conversely the gravity observations can be used to estimate the Love numbers h2 and k2 at the Chandler frequency.
