Abstract

The micro-particle penetration to the oral mucosa was discussed. The impact of model micro-particles to ex-vivo buccal mucosa of pigs and beagle dogs was elaborated. It was found that particle penetration depth was strong function of the particle impact parameters. The analysis suggested the use of relation between particle penetration and particle impact parameter in predictive modeling for drug delivery systems.
