Abstract

An attempt was made to distinguish the Daribi-Shishkhid subduction zone in Western Mongolia. The objective was to provide geochronological evidence on the ages of the differentiated ultrabasites and gabbroids in the ophiolite and intrusive complexes. The objective was met by examining samples taken from the most extensively studied areas: in the Daribi Ridge and near the lake Dzurgan Nur (Bayan-Tsagan intrusion).
