Abstract

In this work, the corrosion inhibition mechanisms of several inhibitors applied to galvanised steel were investigated. Herein, electrochemical measurements such as potentiodynamic polarisation testing were used to evaluate the level of inhibition for each system. In addition, scanning electron microscopy and EDX mapping were performed on the test samples to provide a mechanistic insight into the performance of inhibitor systems.
