Abstract

Two flavonoids, kaempferol‐3‐O‐rutinoside and rutin, were tested on normotensive pentothal anaesthetized rats for cardiovascular activities. Kaempferol‐3‐O‐rutinoside showed a remarkable decrease in systolic, diastolic, mean arterial blood pressure and heart rate, whereas rutin displayed no effect on any of the above mentioned parameters.
