Observation of signature inversion in the [Formula Presented] band of [Formula Presented]

Abstract

High-spin states have been studied in [Formula Presented] using the [Formula Presented] reaction. Two rotational bands have been observed to spins of 28 and [Formula Presented] The most intensely populated band has been reassigned to have the [Formula Presented] configuration. A low-spin signature inversion is observed in this band between 19 and [Formula Presented] consistent with the neighboring odd-odd cesium isotopes. Spectroscopic properties are discussed, including signature inversion of bands in [Formula Presented] nuclei.
