dc.description.abstract | Miss Mary ('Mollie')Bouquet was born in 1920 and was educated at state schools in New South Wales and the University of Sydney. She was a high school teacher from 1942 to 1951 and then travelled overseas for five years working at various occupations including farming and teaching. On her return to Australia in 1956 Miss Bouquet applied for the position of Administrative Assistant at the Canberra University College. Her duties both before and after amalgamation of the College involved the servicing of the academic board and the administration of academic staffing. She was promoted to Senior Graduate Assistant in 1963 and then to Assistant Registrar in 1965. Miss Bouquet retired from the university in 1985. | en_AU |
