Abstract

The effect of the deuteron D-state in the DWBA approach has been investigated for seven transitions in the reaction 52Cr(d, p)53Cr at 10 MeV bombarding energy employing an exact finite-range method with a realistic neutron-proton potential and the corresponding deuteron wave function of Reid. Inclusion of the D-state gives a much better description of the tensor analyzing power data.
