Abstract

A new triterpene has been isolated from Pentatropis spiralis. Its structure was established as cycloart-22-ene-3α, 25-diol [1] through chemical and spectroscopic studies including 2D nmr. Two known triterpenes, cycloeucalenol and 24-methylenecycloartanol, were also isolated.
