The flag was designed and made by Ruth Lane-Poole, wife of CE (Charles) Lane-Poole, Commonwealth Inspector General of Forestry and acting Principal of the Forestry School. It was flown daily over the School and also taken on field camps. The design represents a stylised eucalypt tree and the motto, 'mihi cura futuri', means 'my concern is for the future'.en_AU
